This weekend I ‘accidentally’ wore my first braid out ever.   I attempted a braid out once, maybe twice, before when my hair was shorter; it definitely never worked for me. Last night, however, I washed my hair, with V05 Shampoo/conditioner. I then, moisturized with raw shea butter and olive oil. Then I braided my hair into about 6 huge braids just so that my hair would be stretched in preparation for another style that I wanted to try the following day. Well, the next day, my dad unexpectedly made a trip to my side of town, and I hurriedly took out the braids so that I could go see him. I was pleasantly surprised when I unraveled the braids.  Not having time to do the style that I intended to do in the first place, I just wore my hair like you see above, and went on my way. I was pleased with the results. It made me realize, too, how much my hair has progressed over the past year. All the thoughts I had about ending my natural hair journey suddenly went out the door.
